MADE IN THE USA!! These kits are designed for safety and function and are constructed from the best materials. The frame is made entirely of powder coated steel or aluminum. They are lightweight, strong, and resistant to rust. The rear seat of this kit can seat two adults or it hinges down to create a flat bed for hauling cargo. Included is an all steel or aluminum (depending on selection above) single stamped plate foot rest. All hardware & instructions are included.

*DISCLAIMER* The Yamaha G8 model was manufactured between 1989-1994. On most purchases, the installation of these seats does not run into any issues. However, due to the age of Yamaha G8 cart, some minor drilling and modifications are occasionally necessary. The difference in manufacturing processes and wear and tear on the carts as well as the installation of other aftermarket parts may impact alignment and the installation process and require you to make certain alterations.  By purchasing this seat you acknowledge and agree to the above limitations.

  • The available Diamond Plate Upgrade ($40) arrives pre-installed when ordered at the same time as the seat. The Diamond Plate is mounted on the floor of the cargo area to both protect the finish and enhance the look of your rear flip seat when used as a cargo bed.

Notes for purchasing Aluminum version:

  • Aluminum seat kit is over 40% lighter than the steel seat kit.
  • Aluminum kit will weigh less than 70 pounds total.
  • Aluminum is not only lighter, but is ideal for areas near the ocean to help protect against corrosion.

            • could you describe the diamond plate upgrade in more detail? without the diamond plate upgrade what is the surface of the cargo area?

              The diamond plate upgrade is placed where the "cargo bed" is, when the seat is folded out and not in use for seating. It is normally just powder coated. The upgrade is great if you are hauling items that may scratch up the powder coating.

            • Does this seat work on a 1994 G8?

              This rear seat kit is designed for the G8 model, which has either JF2 or JF3 as the first three digits of the serial number. If your Yamaha cart has either of those serial number prefixes this will be compatible with your cart. It is important to note that due to the age of these carts sometimes minor modifications are needed for mounting the rear roof support (included) to the existing roof of the cart.

            • Does thile gusto rear flip seat for 1993 yamaha g8 golf cart include the front seat backrest brackets? In order to remove the bag carrier for golf clubs it takes the front seat back rest mount away. Thanks

              Yes, our kit includes new mounting trees which provide the attachment point for the front seat backrest as well on the Yamaha G8 model.
