Club Car Precedent model (2004 and Up) Heavy Duty Leaf Spring Set

Is your Club Car Precedent model golf cart suffering from weak original equipment leaf springs? Often the addition of a utility bed or rear facing flip seat can expose weakened original suspension components, especially the leaf springs on the rear axle. This set includes the following replacement parts for the "do-it-yourselfer":

  • Qty 2 Leaf Spring Assemblies (Four-leaf construction on each assembly)
  • Qty 2 Leaf Spring Rubber Bushing Kits w/ Sleeves
  • Some Precedent models may require longer axle U-bolts, not included.

Replacing your rear leaf springs will help eliminate the annoying wheel and tire rub on the body of your cart when driving on uneven terrain or carrying more weight on the rear than the cart was originally designed for. These springs are a great addition with the purchase of a rear flip seat kit.  

These springs are NOT compatible with Club Car DS or Carryall models.

  • Will this kit fit a 2016 Club car #JE1640 ? Also will this kit add any lift ?

    Yes, this heavy duty leaf spring set will work on your Club Car Precedent model year. This leaf spring set does raise the rear of the cart slightly, usually 1"-2".

  • Will these work for club car serial # PQ 0803-864614?

    Yes, these leaf springs will work on all Precedent model golf carts. According to your serial number you have a 48 volt 2008 model year Club Car Precedent so you should be good to go!

  • I'm looking at the heavy duty leaf springs for my 2007 gas club car precedent. I buying the lift kit from you and will need the longer u bolts. How much more would they cost?

    Thanks for contacting us. Good news, the Madjax Precedent lift kits include the correct u-bolts to use when installing with factory rear springs or heavy duty rear springs. You can follow the link on the lift kit listing page to view the instructions for the lift kit and the instructions will explain this as well. Thanks!

  • In your answer to a previous question you stated that these HD leaf springs will raise the rear of a cart 1"-2". If I install the Jakes 3" spindle lift kit does that mean that the rear of the cart will be lifted 3" from the kit plus 1"-2" for the leaf springs?

    The cart will indeed receive a bit of an additional lift with the addition of new leaf springs.
    1-2" is a rough figure without knowing the exact condition of the existing leaf springs.
