The company was founded in 1954 in Augusta, Georgia, by two brothers named Bev and Bill Stevens. They began by building simple three-wheeled carts that could be used for hauling goods around golf courses, but they soon expanded into what we recognize as the modern-day golf cart market.

EZGO quickly became known for its reliable and durable golf carts, and by the 1960s, the company was the largest golf cart manufacturer in the world. In the years that followed, EZGO continued to innovate and improve its golf carts, introducing new features like electric motors and hydraulic brakes. 

Today, EZGO is a leading manufacturer of golf carts, and their vehicles are used by golfers and LSV (low-speed vehicle) owners worldwide. On the cutting-edge of powertrain technology, EZGO was the first to introduce the closed-loop EFI Gas engine, which remains the leader in fuel efficiency.
