The ultimate upgrade for your TXT cart, our EZ-GO TXT LED light kit (street-legal) will give you everything you need to operate your golf cart on public roadways in most places. Our high quality EZGO LED lights will provide bright and efficient lighting bringing a new degree of safety and enjoyment to your golf cart. Our light kit features a mechanical brake switch and thick injection molded plastic bezels to allow for professional installation and dependable use. On top of that, LED lights use 1/3 of the power when compared to halogen making them great for electric carts!

We designed our EZGO TXT street-legal kit with the customer in mind, from it's sleek look to the installation process. The instructions that we include will walk you through each step in the process but in order to answer some of your questions we will highlight some of the major installation steps below:
One of the biggest steps in the installation process is the placement and installation of the headlights and taillights which will require you to cut into your golf cart's body. However, the templates we include make the placement and cutting out of your lights as simple and easy as possible.
Along with the placement of your lights, you will also need to run the wiring harness through the body of your cart to all of the necessary connection points. The main attachment points are for the headlights, taillights, turn signal assembly, brake kit assembly, horn, battery connection, and push/pull switch. The diagram below shows an overview of where those connections are located on your cart.
Our street-legal light kits utilize a mechanical brake switch that will also need to be mounted and attached on the underside of your cart. By using a mechanical brake switch you get more consistent and reliable brake lighting.
The golf cart turn signal kit that is provided in your order will be mounted onto your golf cart's steering column. Please note that the button to activate the horn is at the end of the turn signal arm.
One of the final steps in the installation process is the installation of the push/pull switch which will require you to cut a small hole in your dash panel.

If I hook up these lights to my 48 volt battery system. Does it convert the lights to 12 volt. I want to order the light/ turn signal kit and also the side mirrors with the integrated turn signals. From what I can see is these mirrors will only work on 12 volts? Would I be able to tie into the lights?
You would need a 12v source for the lighted mirrors. The wiring does not convert down to 12volts. The light kit is able to take 48v, but unfortunately the mirrors will not be able to. You are still able to wire a votlage reducer up because the light kit will also work on 12 volts.
Is the micro switch for the brake lights and where does it mount
The brake switch for the light kit is mounted in front of the floor board and the switch is depressed by the brake pedal arm. When the brake pedal is depressed the brake switch is released and it completes the circuit and sends power to the brake lights.
How can I tell what year of a golf cart I have? Not much information on the cart. 30903-0388 is the number on the tag.

I have a 17m94. Can I make this cart street legal
If your EZGO is a 1994 model which it appears to be with that code, then we do not have a light kit for your model unfortunately. Our EZGO TXT light kits only install on TXT models 1996-2013.
Where is the horn button and is it a brake pad that sits on the brake?
The horn button is located on the end of the turn signal assembly. Also, we use a mechanical brake switch that gets mounted by the brake arm, not a brake pressure pad.
I installed street legal kit and can not get brake lights to work. Everything else is working
Thank you for reaching out. Most commonly, the culprit for non-functioning brake lights is due to the 48V Relay (under the dash) or the Brake Timer Relay (black box with 3 spade connectors) are not hooked up or not hooked up correctly. Double-check those two components, and then give us a call if we can help clarify anything else for you.
Can this kit be used on a 6 seater cart or is there a different kit with a longer wiring harness? Thanks.
This TXT LED light kit can be used on an extended 6 seater TXT limo golf cart but you would simply need to splice in some tail light wiring extensions. Everything else will work okay for you.
