What golf cart models do you have lights for?

  • Yamaha: G14-G22 | Drive (G29) | Drive2

LED lights for golf carts- are they worth it?

LED stands for "Light-emitting Diode," and these lights are the cutting edge of light technology.

While old-style halogen lights were the most common lights found in golf carts, things have changed, and LED lights are now commonplace.

There are two simple reasons for this change and why you should consider buying LED lights for your golf cart.

The first reason is that LED lights are typically brighter and have a sharper contrast when compared to halogen lights.

This increases your visibility while driving your golf cart and significantly impacts how safe it is to operate your cart at times of low visibility.

The second reason to consider purchasing LED lights is their energy efficiency.

LED lights draw significantly less amperage from your batteries, approximately 1/3 of the power draw of halogen lights. Our LED light kits will draw about 1-2 amps of power.

This means you can operate your golf cart for more extended periods as less power will be drawn from your batteries.

These two reasons make adding LED lights to your cart a standout choice!

Basic Light Kits: Headlight and Taillight Kit

Don't let the word "basic" throw you off. Our basic light kits are the perfect companion for your golf cart if you want to increase the functionality of your cart but don't want or need all the bells and whistles of a street-legal kit.

Basic light kits come with a simple wiring harness that runs headlights, taillights, a push/pull switch for the dash, and connectors for your battery.

To install, you need to run the wiring through your cart, cut out your lights (don't worry, we provide templates), plug everything together, connect to power, and you are good to go!

Designed for simple installation and reliable use, basic light kits are a great addition to your cart!

Street-Legal Golf Cart Light Kits

Street-legal light kits are exactly as they sound- an upgraded and more comprehensive version of our basic light kits.

Also referred to as deluxe kits, these lights kits are primarily for cart owners who need their golf carts to be registered as street legal.

The street-legal kits will also come with headlights, taillights, and a wiring harness like our basic kits.

However, you will also receive brake lights, turn signals, and a horn in addition to these items.

These various components will turn your golf cart into a fully functioning transport vehicle.

Although installing our street legal kits is slightly more complicated than our basic kits, our instructions will walk you through each step of the installation process. This way, you can be back on the road in no time!

Golf Cart Headlights and Taillights

Our replacement lights are designed to replace most factory OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) lights.

We have designed our lights to work with the most common factory wiring harnesses so you can quickly and easily swap out your old golf cart lights.

Whether you are replacing energy-consuming halogens or just need a brighter set of LEDs, our replacement lights will be a perfect fit!

*Check all photos and listing descriptions for important details and information about replacing lights. Cutting and splicing wiring may be required.*

Installing Golf Cart Lights

When installing golf cart lights, there are a few things you need to be prepared to do.

One of the processes involved is cutting out the holes for your lights using our provided templates.

The templates we provide make things easy, but you will need a Dremel tool or other cutting device to cut through your fiberglass golf cart body accurately.

Once you have the light cut-outs ready, you will need to run the wiring along any seams or edges in your cart and attach the necessary components.

Next, using a screwdriver or other tool, carefully fasten the lights to your cart. With everything secured and connected, all that's left is to plug in your lights and enjoy cruising around.

At Golf Cart Stuff, we pride ourselves on making it easy for our customers to install our lights.

We provide clear instructions and templates to help guide the installation process, and we also try to offer customer photos to show how the finished product should look.

In addition, we offer free technical support if you were to run you run into any problems.

Our goal is to make it as easy as possible for you to get our lights up and running, so you can enjoy your golf cart for years to come.
