Terry,

Thank you for your question!

In regards to what wheel and tire combo will be better for playing golf, the answer is that they will both perform very similarly.

Both tire treads are going to have very minimal tread depth allowing you to use your golf cart on the course without tearing up or damaging any of the greens.

The only slight difference is going to be in tire sidewall height. The 18×8.5-8 Antego tires will have slightly more sidewall height giving your cart just a bit more cushion. However, this will be slight and you probably wouldn’t be able to tell the difference.

In regards to the second question- which wheel and tire combo is better, we would give the edge to the 10" Vampire. Those are going to be aluminum wheels and will add a sharper look to your cart. In addition, the Steeleng tires will still have plenty of performance.

Hopefully that helps, please let us know if you have any other questions!

Terry Delaney - September 25, 2023

I have two sets of wheels and tires.my golf cart is 2010 Club Car Precedent. The tires on it are Antego 18-8,50-8 grass tires. My other wheels are 18-8.00-10 Vampire wheels with low profile steeling tires. What are better for golf play on a 18 hole course? Which are better tired and wheels?
Thank you for your reply. Terry
